The Tutored Course

This course is a mini online course run as an independent course from the others we offer here. It can be seen as a course to just test the waters with the Thoth deck or to explore another deck in greater depth. The course adds further knowledge and skills to the other courses if you have already completed them, and suppliments your skills with the tarot whatever deck you use.

It was originally designed for the Thoth deck alone but we have come to realise with some adjustment students have been able to gain from these techniques with whatever their favourite or choice of deck was. We are still coming from a more intuitive and psychological approach as we do for the Thoth courses so your work will contain some personal work and you are encouraged to be intuitive in your responses to the cards, as well as to gather knowledge of the areas covered.

The course will be held on our forum as the others are, where you will work both as a group - learning from each others work as well as working with the tutors individually.

Dates

Please email me to enquire about the next start date and to apply for a place. It runs for 8 weeks covering 4 topics with breaks for any school holidays it crosses.

A new topic will be set every 2 weeks; the first week is for doing the exercises for that topic, the second week is for responding to tutors comments on your work and to allow you to read and become familiar with others' work, ask questions, and share comments and knowledge with other students. This enriches the experience for everyone.

Course Outline

• Week 1 + 2: Introduction and Timing
• Weeks 3 + 4: Analysing Dreams
• Weeks 5 + 6: Animal Symbolism .
• Weeks 7 + 8: Colour, feedback and goodbyes

Course requirements are:

• Basic tarot knowledge, general meanings etc.
• Knowledge of spreads
• Know how to go about a reading, connecting the cards together
• Access to the internet and email regularly
• Prepared to look at yourself – psychologically probing course (though not a therapy group)
• Time for the exercises and to connect with the other members in the group. (estimate minimum 2 hours a week)

Materials Only eCourse of Enhancing your Tarot Skills

We will send you the materials for this course by weekly email for you to work through in your own time. You will be sent a new topic every two weeks. In the interim week we send you a nudge email to remind you to catch up if you were getting behind and also to offer you some further tips on that topic. Of course there is no requirement to follow the course in the timescale it is sent to you but we have found that sending it out this way enhances your ability to stick with it and not allow other things to get in the way.

As a reminder the course covers the following topics:

• Topic 1: Introduction and Colour
• Topic 2: Analysing Dreams
• Topic 3: Animal Symbolism .
• Topic 4: Timing, Goals and goodbyes

Although originally based on working with the Thoth deck and using the Gerd Zeigler book as the book as reference, now you can follow the course with whatever deck you would like to use. To be clear, there is no tutor input with this version of the course. However should you receive the course and decide you want to do the full tutored course, we will give you a reduction on the cost of the course.
